Rising CEOs is a ten-week program designed to help underserved teens learn leadership, technology, and entrepreneurship skills. The program will be held at UNO's CEC every Thursday from 4:30 to 7:00 pm from August 29 to October 31, 2024. Call 402-881-0343 for more information.
In the ten-week program, participants will participate in workshops lead by local business leaders paired up with a K-12 teacher, create a business plan, and compete in a business pitch competition to win funding of $500 for their idea. The program intends to equip participants with a business plan, connections to mentors, access to funding and hone leadership skills. Local business owners of diverse backgrounds will provide mentoring through this program. Upon completion of the program the participants will be empowered and equipped with resources in the areas of business, social capital, and leadership.
The Rising CEOs program would not be possible without the support of the Omaha Community Foundation’s Refugee Community Grant Fund, Sherwood Foundation, Weitz Foundation and our various partners.
